No.
Seriously.
I have decided that I will finish up the books I have now and then give them to my mum to return. I will not step foot inside that addictive place. I mean, what alcoholic would condone going into a liquor store? Well. An addicted one I suppose. So... Being addicted to books I shouldn't condone going to the library, right? Right?
Pfffffffft....
Like that would ever work.
But I should probably consider, considering my TBR pile (ha! I love how writer's have their own lingo-anagram things. wip, mc, tbr, etc.) is 66books, and that doesn't include the 12 or more that I'm reading right now, or the books that have gotten shoved around and under things because I have no room on my shelves, and I don't even know how many books of Rebecca's I have yet to read that I want to...
Thus my banning from libraries. And I'm not allowed on Amazon until I have a job. And I can only go to Borders if I'm asking for a job. Fortunately, there are no more bookstores around, so I don't have to ban myself from any other place.
So...
How 'bout you? Is your TBR pile as bad as mine? Or worse? Have you had to ban yourself from any places? Maybe we should start a Book Buyers Anonymous? I've started to have to chant to myself, "Don't buy books, don't buy books," whenever I pass them in stores.
An old pic of my books.
It's become worse. Much worse.

Hahahaha. I love libraries. My finished project is set in libraries. I have my TBR pile in the drawers and landscaping the top of my bedside dresser. I have to ban my self from Borders because I get consumed with people watching that I don't get any writing done. :D
Oh my goodness, yes. I love people watching! :D It can be very addicting.
LOL.
I tried that once. It did not end well. *shakes head* I now figure as long as I go to the library I won't be on Amazon SO much or in the book shop.
:S
My TBR pile is actually reaching the bottom. Sigh
Love the pic of your bookshelf. We have a lot of the same books! :)
I know what you mean: my to-read list of books to get from the library just keeps growing and growing. And I keep buying books and reading those. It's an addiction! But it's a healthy one, so I'm not going to ban myself from the library or bookstores. If I did that, I might do something crazy out of desperation for my fix!!! It's better for the world to let myself check out books from the library and buy more books at the store. ;)
Ha! That bookshelf is nothing! Lol! 95% of the stuff in my apartment is books and I'm not exaggerating. No sir...er, ma'am. I don't have a tbr pile. I have a tbr room. Prett much every book in my room has not been read. Seriously.
Eek. When I first saw the title, I was like, she can't be serious! But I can see your reasoning. My TBR pile is over 800 books long! I still got about 20 or 30 pages on Goodreads to check. I'm slowly going through it and deleting any books I no longer want to read.
And my bookshelf is slowly getting to the one in the pic. But I don't have any money to buy books. So, there you go.
Talk about addiction...;)

@Mia: Yes, I've been seriously considering stopping Amazon form sending me e-mails, because then I click on the links and want to buy stuff. It's dangerous.
@Falen: Really? Wow. That's crazy.
@Laura: Haha! That's so cool! And I agree. I would probably do something crazy as well, which is why yesterday I just bought two books. Ahem. Whoops.
@Hannah: Rebecca is the same way! I'm surprised she can sleep in her room. One day I think she's going to have to get rid of her bed and sleep on a pile of books instead.
@Wolfie: Holy gunshot muffins! 800 books is a whole lot *sigh* Too many books, not enough time. I don't really have money to buy books either. So I suppose it's better to go to the library. *nods*
That's a lotta books! My TBR pile is only about 2 dozen strong at the moment (with another dozen at least in my 'wish' pile).
I'm lucky (if you can call it that) that my local library has an appalling selection of fantasy and sci-fi, which means I'm not able to get many books that way. Though I've recently discovered a place that sells fairly new books at insanely low prices, so this may make things worse ...
@Jamie Gibbs: Ah, the danger of buying books. That's why I'm really glad of the library I have. the system is spread out over two counties, so i can get pretty much any book I want. It definitely helps keep my shelves from over-flowing too quickly.
