NaNo Now!... Well... Almost

Like some other bloggy people I too am going to be doing NaNoWriMo this year. Unlike some other bloggy people, I still have No Idea what to write. I'm guessing I'll figure it out, just picking something randomly when the time comes. What'll be interesting is on November 1 I'm going to be taking a trip down to VA in order to visit a Secret College, so my first two writing days will be full of Driving Long Distances. Hopefully I'll be able to get home early enough on Tuesday that not too much time will be lost. Ah well. I'll have enough days to make up for it, hopefully.

BUT...

Last year I was going to do a Videcumentary because I knew some people had done such a thing before. But I didn't because I was in school, had a job, and was writing a novel. Plus other things I'm sure. Anyway. This year I will attempt to make some vlogs, and I'm warning you they will be very Boring. I'm trying to think of a way to Spice it up, so if anybody has any ideas, feel free to advise me. No idea is too stupid. Wait. I take it back. Some ideas are way beyond stupid. But. Anyway.

Right now it WILL NOT LOAD... But as soon as I can get it to load, I totally will.

And that's about all, my bloggy lamnams! Oh... By the way... Thank you for all your encouragement! I did finish WhiteWashed and am now Editing it. So Exciting! :D

Short and Sweet

So today's post is going to be super short, because my brain was been freaking out the past two days. (When you finish a novel shouldn't you be excited and NOT depressed?) I finished Pixie Princess and queried Nathan Bransford. And he responded (very quickly! I am amazed at his querying response prowess) and even though he said 'no' it was okay, because it was such a nice reply. I think it would be really cool to meet him someday, but that sounds stalkerish.

Anyway. So now I'm trying to find another agent to query. I'm actually thinking about setting Luperin to the side and finish up Haunbrinth and then finish Luperin. I really do love those stories so much.

The problem is, with finding an agent, I keep looking up agents and going "Man, that book I haven't written/edited yet would be perfect for this agent." But maybe that's a bad way to look at it? If I'm looking for someone who will be a long time agent who can help me with loads of books, instead of just one or two? I don't know, but school starts next week. Insert drastic gagging here. Blah. Gah. Urf. Not that I hate or abhor school but... Bluh.

Anyway. The only other big news is that I finally finished Lost Languages by Andrew Robinson!

Following Your Own Footsteps...

Okay, so the name of this post sounds super egotistical, but give me a chance to explain myself. The fact is, following your own footsteps sucks, like lemons sucks (except that I like lemons, but it's a word picture, so as long as your picturing a sour face, the job has been effective.) And the fact is I sure hope I'm not just following my own footsteps, because then I would probably end up falling off some cliff.

Which kinda' brings me to the point of the blog:

I always thought you had to wait until you got published, or at least had an agent for goodness' sake, before you could start a blog about the writing journey, but then I realized "hey, since when do I follow the rules?" Because one of the things a good writer knows how to do, is how to break the rules properly. So I am going to start blogging about my writing experience now, because it's fun, and because I will enjoy it.

But more than for my own benefit:

I hope to be able to network and find other newbie authors (and maybe not so newbie) because I love authors. I love people (except for when people become customers, then I just want to punch them in the face. Okay, not really punch, because that's violent, but I do want to sigh at them, and wonder why people become mad crazy when they enter the role of the customer.) So hopefully I can make some super cool "cyber" friends through this website, and that way I don't have to just follow my own footsteps.

Oy. Cyber friends. That sounds like you're all robots are something. Oog. That's not what I meant.

Anyhow. I kinda' think these posts I always do for beginning blogs sounds lame and boring. This is what I'm going to do, this is why, blah, blah, blah. So I'm going to shut up now.
